Discontinued optek Products

Having over 20 years experience in process photometry optek has continually strived to develop the best UV/VIS/NIR and scattered light analyzers. Many of our original systems are still monitoring and controlling processes in plants across the globe! As our product line continues to grow and improve, we will occasionally archive older products. Below you will find information on discontinued products along with a contact form if you need replacements.

x10 Series Converters: 110, 310, 510
x12 Series Converters: 112, 312, 512, 152, 552
The x10 and x12 series converters were the first and second generation of optek converters. These converters had two independent set points with adjustable time relays for alarms and mA-outputs for continuous monitoring. Additional features included a relay output for remote alarm of lamp or system failure, a shift adjust for resolution enhancement, and a selectable damping function.

A model 112 was a single channel converter generally paired with an AF10, AF13, AF14, or an AF24. The 312 system was generally interfaced with an AF20, AF21, AF45, or AF46 for dual channel measurements. For turbidity measurements, a 512 converter was used. Sensors TF10 and TF20 were primarily used with model 512. Models 152 and 552 were cost-effective DIN-Rail mount switches used for "Go" - "No- Go" applications.

x16 Series Converters: 116, 316, 516
The x16 series converters are very similar to the x12 series. Improvements to the internal circuitry of the x12 series lead to this third generation, x16 optek converters. Other major improvements included upgrades needed to receive a CE Marking. CE Marking is a manufacturer's declaration that the product complies with the essential requirements of the relevant European health, safety and environmental protection legislations.

Model 116, similar to model 112, was a single channel converter and was used primarily with an AF16 sensor. The 316 converter was upgraded from the 312 converter for dual channel measurements. This converter was generally used with an AF26, AF45, or AF46 sensor. For turbidity measurements model 516 was used with a TF16 turbidity meter.
